Nyansapo — the governed intelligence substrate
Nyansapo is an independent product from Veredis, not an internal Veredis database. It acquires, versions and normalizes authoritative regulatory, legal and trade intelligence on a governed acquisition schedule — immutable, hash-tracked, source-versioned — rather than as a live real-time feed. Each source family carries an explicit legal-effect classification (Blocking, Review Required, EDD Only, Context Only, Notice Only), so a match on a review-only or context-only source is never treated as equivalent to a match on a source that can drive a BLOCK decision. Veredis consumes this intelligence through governed API contracts and applies its own deterministic decision rules after it arrives — Nyansapo supplies evidence, it does not compute Veredis's verdicts.

Ownership & relationship intelligence
Resolved where evidence supports it. Ambiguous, conflicting or unresolved states are reported as such, never silently cleared.

Nyansapo is the durable truth substrate for entities, ownership, sanctions and regulatory intelligence. Veredis separately evaluates a small set of volatile, transaction-time signals directly — observations for this transaction now, not canonical entity or sanctions truth, and not a substitute for Nyansapo-supplied evidence.
WTO API (Quantitative Restrictions & Trade Facilitation)
Active import/export quantitative restrictions and trade-facilitation status for the relevant HS code and destination, evaluated at transaction time.
Public press & news feeds (GDELT, government press releases)
Time-sensitive geopolitical signal context on a trade corridor — not a sanctions determination. Sanctions and watchlist screening are supplied through Nyansapo, not this feed.
Evidence-bound, not certainty-bound
Not every source can BLOCK
Sources carry different legal effects. A review-only or context-only source informs a scan; it does not, by itself, produce a BLOCK verdict.
Resolution states are explicit
Entity and ownership resolution can be Resolved, Ambiguous, Conflicting or Unresolved — an unresolved result is reported as unresolved, not forced to a clean pass.
Fail-closed on unavailable evidence
If a source can't be reached, the scan reports it as unavailable and routes to manual review — it never silently substitutes a clear result.
No static source counts
We don't publish a fixed 'N sources' number here. Registry state differs across environments and changes as sources are added, paused, or reclassified — a static count would go stale.
