Document-First Trade Compliance

Trade compliance decisions
you can defend.

Veredis turns invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading and other trade documents into evidence-linked compliance decisions — screened against official-source sanctions, ownership and trade-control intelligence, evaluated by deterministic rules, and recorded in a cryptographically signed decision dossier.

AI-assisted extraction. Governed evidence. Deterministic high-consequence decisions.

On Source Unavailability

Veredis does not retain uploaded documents or extracted transaction text.

Documents are processed in memory to produce a decision, then discarded. The structured decision record — verdict, triggered rules, evidence references and cryptographic seal — is retained for audit and regulatory purposes. Cross-scan entity intelligence is stored only as one-way hashes, never as raw identifying data.

Quick trade-corridor context

A lightweight public research tool for general trade-corridor questions — separate from full document screening. For a governed compliance decision on an actual transaction, screen the document above.

Trade Corridor Intelligence

How a decision gets made

Every scan follows the same governed path — from document to signed decision record.

1

Trade Document

Invoice, PO, bill of lading, customs declaration or transaction facts

2

Extraction

AI-assisted parsing with deterministic overrides for identifiers and values

3

Evidence Resolution

Checked against official-source sanctions, ownership and trade-control intelligence — entity/ownership evidence can resolve as Resolved, Ambiguous, Conflicting or Unresolved, never forced to a clean match

4

Governed Rules

Deterministic rule engines evaluate the resolved evidence — no LLM in the decision path

5

Decision

A transaction verdict of CLEAR, ESCALATE or BLOCK

6

Signed Dossier

Decision path, evidence and blocking factors sealed (SHA-256 + Ed25519)

AI assists extraction and bounded contextual analysis, within defined evidence and decision-effect boundaries. Deterministic rules govern BLOCK and ESCALATE decisions — advisory narrative is generated only after the verdict and is structurally restricted from influencing it.

What Veredis screens

Evidence-bound, not certainty-bound — every capability below carries explicit unresolved / ambiguous states rather than a forced pass.

Sanctions & Watchlist Screening

Entities and transactions checked against official-source sanctions, export-control and law-enforcement lists, each carrying its own legal-effect classification — not every match drives a BLOCK.

Entity & Beneficial Ownership

Ownership and relationship structures resolved where evidence supports it. Ambiguous, conflicting or unavailable evidence is represented explicitly, not silently cleared.

Jurisdiction & Trade-Route Context

Tariff, trade-remedy and jurisdictional context informs a scan without automatically becoming decision-driving evidence.

Product & Export-Control Analysis

Dual-use and controlled-goods indicators evaluated against classification lists and control regimes.

Discrepancy & Cross-Document Analysis

Inconsistencies across a transaction's documents — values, parties, routing — surfaced as findings with their own evidence trail.

Evidence Dossiers & Audit Trail

Every decision produces a cryptographically signed record of the rules, evidence and confidence that produced it.

Built to be defended, not just trusted

A compliance decision is only as good as the record behind it.

Deterministic decision effects

BLOCK and ESCALATE outcomes are computed by rule engines evaluating triggered evidence — not generated by a language model.

Evidence lineage & provenance

Every finding traces back to the source and rule that produced it, preserved in the decision record.

Explicit ambiguity, not forced certainty

Entity and ownership resolution can be Resolved, Ambiguous, Conflicting or Unresolved — an unresolved result is reported as unresolved.

Fail-closed on source unavailability

If an upstream source can't be reached, the scan reports Source Unavailable and requires manual review — it never silently treats an unreachable check as clear.

Cryptographically signed decision record

The decision path, triggered rules and evidence are canonically hashed (SHA-256) and signed (Ed25519) into a verifiable dossier.

AI is bounded by decision-effect boundaries

Language models assist extraction and contextual analysis. Deterministic rules govern BLOCK and ESCALATE decisions; post-verdict advisory narrative is structurally restricted from influencing the decision already made.
